We're amazingly blessed to have the west portion of the Middlesex Fells Reservation near out back doorstep (about a five minute walk). We walked over to hike a little bit Friday evening before we lost sunlight, and we had such a great time that we headed back over there this afternoon. Here are some pictures we took, probably some of the last autumn pictures we'll capture this year. (Once again, the colors are much more brilliant if you click on the photo to view a larger version of the image in your browser.)
The view of Boston from the top of one of the hills was incredible.
We live about in the middle of this picture below.
Another view of our city (Medford)

Great pictures! Glad you two took the time to enjoy all this before another New England winter.
Wow!! What beautiful fall colors you captured. We're back to mostly brown around here in the desert.
What nice sceneic views you are sharing. We wonder what your thoughts were in the one of you sitting on the rock facing us. I'm sure they had to be pleasant ones with the beautiful surroundings. Do you have squirrels, raccoons, bobcats, coyotes, deer, and all kinds of birds to share the sights. We are having nice weather here and need another ten days of good harvest weather. Thanks for the very nice pictures.
Our love to both of you.
We like to hike in the Fells, too! In fact, I think I recognize one of those big rocks you were sitting on. :-)
I'm glad you guys had a nice time together and got to be outside on a beautiful day.
Wonderful pictures ! Do you know that you can become members of the Friends of the Fells to help protect and preserve this wonderful treasure? Please visit our website at www.fells.org.
Regards, Andrew Celentano, Chairman, Board of Directors, Friends of the Middlesex Fells Reservation. p.s. can we print one of your pictures in one of our upcoming newsletters?
