Each summer we've been in Vienna, we've had a special visit from Grandpa and Grandma. It is always so hard to choose which pictures to post from all the great memories captured. As always, this will have to be a handful of posts, so here we go with the first one.
This year, we decided to return to the mountains for a day, to the exact same place we took Uncle Drew and Aunt Carrie last December for snowshoeing (which turned into hiking in shallow snow). It did not disappoint this summer.
The Rax Alps
Neighbor to our beloved Schneeberg
We had breakfast on the train in order to make the most of the day. Grandparents sure do make traveling easier!
Although it was sweltering hot down below, stepping off the gondola was heavenly. We actually had to wear our jackets when we weren't hiking uphill!
Once up the mountain, we had a nice sausage lunch; the kids entertained themselves with rocks and sticks. What else does a kid need?!
This was right before she fell asleep. She was soooo heavy!!!!
Silly kid
These two were awesome.
Special daddy-daughter time on the descent
I love this kid so much!
