Carnival Chaos

Yesterday, I was with the kids in the park in front of our home in the afternoon, and the local after-school program was also there.  I smiled as I watched all the kids running around in their Carnival costumes.  It reminded me of my childhood and playing outside after school on October 31st.  Princesses, Police officers, Knights, Super heros, all running around like crazy due to all the candy.  Here however the traditional Carnival food is Krapfen.  It's like a delicious Boston Creme Donut but filled with the most amazing apricot jam and covered in powered sugar instead of chocolate.  Yummm....

This year, we had a ladybug superhero and a pirate as part of our family.
