The past few months, God has opened up opportunities for Gregory and me to serve and participate more in the life of our church family. One such way has been in leading songs of worship a few Sundays, a huge step for us linguistically and also an incredibly impetus for German becoming more a language of our hearts.
We also were able to attend our church's annual retreat this month.
We attended last year, four days after arriving in country, and what a
different experience we had this year! We thank God for how He has
grown us over the past year and melded our hearts with this community
and culture and language.

ZOOM Children's Museum
For Mother's Day, I made reservations to take Nathanael to the children's museum here. I'd heard great things about it, and I'd been wanting to make a family outing of it for months. The theme was the ocean and scientific exploration intermixed with play. Here's the website.
The reservation was only for an hour, but it turned out to be the perfect amount of time. Nathanael barely stopped moving the entire time. Thus the pictures from my phone are a bit pitiful. Still you can get a good picture of the fun he/we had.
