Summer camp

Both of our kids attended a summer camp a couple hours away, this year during different weeks.  Eva and a few friends from church went one week, and Nath and a few friends from church went with teens the following week. Both kids had an incredible week. The theme was Narnia, and the camp staff was incredible. It must be so much work to pull off those camps. They stay in tents for six nights, and they have a team who prepares all the meals. It is impressive. We are so grateful for their ministry.

We had carpool duty to pick up the girls and take the boys, so here a few pictures from pick-up.

Miscellaneous Moving

Moving is so much work. But it is worth it. We are so grateful to be buying.

We had our front entry tiled. It was formerly a weed garden.

Ikea furniture delivered and assembled before the actual move

This was my solution for hiding the cat litter box! It turned out great!

When it is incredibly hot out and our splash pool is packed... 13-year-olds get creative.

On the last day of school, we went out to our local restaurant near our old home and had a final family meal together before moving the cat and our overnight bags.

Speaking of the cat, she has done really well. She seems do be just fine as long as she is where we are.

The big move days finally arrived. We had an incredible company which we would highly recommend.

Farewell Grade School

June was an emotional month full of goodbyes for our dear Eva.

Her ballet teacher is retiring, and with our move, it does not make sense for Eva to travel a long distance for a different teacher. We will miss Eva's ballet teacher and incredible lessons.

In Austria, kids stay with the same teacher and classmates for the entire four years of grade school.  It has it's advantages and disadvantages.  Saying goodbye is definitely a big deal. The kids performed some dances and songs and skits for the parents. They did a wonderful job, even though it was soooo hot in the performance room!

I must admit that I had tears in my eyes as Eva walked out of the school on the last morning. This school was such an amazing place for both of our kids to learn and grow. We are grateful.
On to Gymnasium! (high school)
